That is not how the 2026 Tucson works. The SEL Premium, the gas Limited, the Hybrid Limited and the Plug-in Hybrid Limited all carry built-in navigation and wireless Apple CarPlay together.
So if you were about to step down a trim to protect the wireless connection, you do not need to. Pick the trim on the seats, the audio, the drivetrain or the price. The phone side is settled either way.
One Screen Size, Top to Bottom
The 12.3-inch touchscreen is standard on the base SE, which is not something you can say about most rivals at that price. Moving up the range adds a matching 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster next to it, so the two panels read as one wide display, but the CarPlay surface itself does not grow. Your maps and your music look the same on the cheapest Tucson as on the most expensive one.
Wireless CarPlay and Your Battery
Running CarPlay over Wi-Fi uses more phone battery than a cable does. It is the one honest downside of the wireless setup, and it is why the wireless charging pad is worth checking as a separate line item.
Wireless device charging is not standard across the Tucson line the way CarPlay is. Hyundai lists it on the gas SEL Premium and Limited, and on the Hybrid SEL Convenience and Limited. If you drive far enough that phone battery is a real consideration, that pairing matters more than the trim badge does.
